UIL STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Congrats to football teams from Randle HS, North Shore HS & CE King HS.  All three advanced to the UIL State Championships @ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.  Both Randle and CE King fell short of making history. 

A crowd of approximately 40,000 fans were on hand for the highly anticipated showdown between Duncanville and North Shore.  The Mustangs played an impressive defensive performance in the dramatic 10-7 victory.  Ironically, DeSoto and Duncanville (9 miles apart) are from the same district 11-6A while North Shore and CE King (7 miles apart) hail from district 23-6A.  This marked the first time that all four 6A participating teams entered the title game with at least 1 district defeat.  

Each of the teams featured at least one player who is expected to star on the basketball court this season.
