DeSoto's ability to execute when it counted most proved to be instumental in the teams capturing the 2010 McDonald's Invitational Championship with a 68-61 win over Mansfield Summit.  Florida State recruit Antwan Space earned an MVP performance after coming alive in the second half with a flurry of baskets while commanding the boards.

Summit's Wesley Davis was unstoppable while scoring 19 of his game high 29pts in the first half.  In the 3rd place game, another set of Dallas area teams battled.  North Crowley led by  Providence bound guard Kyan Anderson cruised past Richardson Berkner 64-46.  Duncanville held back a fourth quarter rally by Bellaire to win the Silver Championship, 53-41.  The Bronze bracket was won by San Antonio Clark (54-44 winners over Ft Bend Marshall).
This marked the first time in history of the event that not a single Houston area team boasted at least one of the Gold Division titles.  However, that feat was reversed in the Girls Division.  Houston area teams (Cy Falls, Northshore, and Bellaire) won the Gold, Silver, and Bronze brackets. 

In Division 2 action, Crosby took home top honors.  Runners up Cinco Ranch defeated South Houston, Sharyland, Atascocita and San Antonio Warren before losing a close game to Crosby in the Gold Championship Game.  Crosby's Keynan Willis and Cinco Ranch’s Garrett Wilson were selected to the All Tournament Team.
